I am happy to be able to invite you all to 7 weeks L-base acroyoga / standing acrobatics class November 7th to December 19th 2024.

This is an intermediate class for participants with some experience in acroyoga, and are ready to take on new challenges within

➢ Standing acrobatics.
➢ Whips and Icarian pops.
➢ Hand to hand.

With this class I hope to create a fun and joyful atmosphere where we at the same time can level-up your acro skills. By having focus on a (relatively) small subset of acro skills, my hope is that we can have a good progression in our skill set.

This class is offered under the wings of Akroyoga Odense (AYO) and thus participation requires membership of AYO.

✿✿✿ When & where ✿✿✿

➢ Ejerslykkeskolen
➢ Thursdays 18:30 to 20:30.
➢ Season: 7 weeks. November 7th to December 19th.

✿✿✿ Price & sign-up ✿✿✿

➢ Normal price: 200kr
➢ Students and other financially challenged: 125kr

Requires membership of Akroyoga Odense:
➢ 300kr / season (August to May)

✿✿✿ Content and pre-requisites ✿✿✿

This class will focus more on technical skills rather than, say, washing machines and flows. I have set out 3 possible topics for the class:

➢ Basic Standing Acrobatics (e.g. 2 high, flag, butterfly, standing foot-to-hand)
➢ Whips and Icarians (e.g. tarzan whip, throne-to-bird pop, log pops)
➢ L-base hand-to-hand (normal and reverse)

What the content will be, actually depends on you:

⇒ On the sign-up form, you will be asked what topics you are most interested in.

The pre-requisites for attending the class is:

➢ Hands free entry into bird.
➢ From hands free bird: Being able to rotate your flyer left/right, tilt up/down, and squat.
➢ L-base Foot-to-hand
➢ Stable side star (base no hands)
➢ From side star: Being able to rotate your flyer left/right and squat.

All sorts of fun 😉

➢ Warm-up and mobility exercises.
➢ Acro, of course 🙂
➢ Handstand 🤸
➢ Games and fun.
➢ Strength and conditioning (you'll appreciate it later 😎)

✿✿✿ Questions ✿✿✿

➢ AYO's classes are normally free; why do I have to pay extra for this class?

I have chosen to request an additional payment (collected by AYO) to signify that this is a class you explicitly sign-up for and then have the intention to join each week. I would like to create some progression and that is easiest if I can keep the class together skill wise.

➢ I can only come half the time; can I sign up?

Yes, but the pre-reqs may be higher for you. Write me and let's talk about it 🙂

➢ I have a friend visiting me; can I bring them along?

Yes, if they have an acro level where they can fall right in to the class. Also, please write me to let me know 🙂
